Meet Isaac Traudt, Notre Dame's most Underrated class of 22 target

As the class of 2022 recruiting period opened a few weeks ago and it seemed like the Notre Dame staff was talking to a new prospect every hour. As of now the staff has been in contact with around 15 players in the class of 22, so it's definitely easy to lose track of them or only pay attention to a few, but after the video about each of them ( Heres the link to it https://youtu.be/Jo0jpa8r4uM ) a few stuck out. Obviously the 5 stars and top other top prospects such as Prince Aligbe, Kamari Lands, Donovan Clingan and JJ Starling impressed me a lot, but there was another guy who I didn't see anyone talking about and thats Isaac Traudt.

Traudt is a 6'9 Forward from Grand Island Nebraska that Notre Dame reportedly reached out to on one of the first few days of the recruiting period. The Nebraska native is a three star recruit and he is ranked by rivals as the number 118 recruit in the class of 2022. Traudt holds offers from Creighton, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wyoming among others.

Traudt put up really good stats for a sophomore in high school with 17 points per game 6 Rebounds per game and 40% shooting from three which is very impressive considering a lot of them are contested or deep threes. His stats will probably be even better next year because in his interview with Nebraska Prep Zone report he said he is the only remaining player out of their 7 man rotation from last year so he will be taking on a much bigger role in his junior season.

The three star has a very complete skillset and game that reminds me a ton of Notre Dame commit JR Konieczny. I've even gone as far as calling Traudt a carbon copy of the Notre Dame commit on the court. Much like JR, Traudt projects as a very versatile player who can play on wing or as a stretch 4 in a small ball lineup. Personally I prefer him as a wing because of his playmaking and shooting ability but him being 6'8 allows him to do all of the above effectively.

As we get further into the recruiting process I think Traudt is a guy who Notre Dame fans should keep an eye on throughout the process. The Nebraska native has reportedly talked with a member of the staff but Notre Dame has not yet offered. Obviously in the next few weeks there will be a lot of buzz about Kamari Lands and JJ Starling potentially getting offers from Notre Dame but in my opinion Traudt would be a great fit at Notre Dame and should be offered soon.
