Back in August, which feels like a long time ago, Notre Dame Basketball target Blake Wesley announced his Top 12 schools which included Maryland, Kansas St., Creighton, Grand Canyon University, Missouri, Purdue, Notre Dame, Xavier, Texas, Louisville, Indiana, and Ohio St.

The 2021 South Bend Guard who attends Riley High School just released his Top 6 which included Notre Dame, Maryland ,Creighton ,Xavier, Purdue and, Kansas State . Wesley is currently ranked as the 96th best player in the class of 2021 by rivals and he is ranked as the number one player in Indiana by multiple sites.

The 6'5 guard played with the Indy Heat gym rats AAU program this summer alongside Ohio State Commit Meechie Johnson and Purdue commit Caleb Furst. Wesley impressed this summer with his improved passing and defensive ability along with a few highlight plays that showed off his athleticism and finishing ability (which is also much improved). The Notre Dame target is able to score at all three levels and make an impact on the game on both ends.

While Wesley has relationships with players at most schools recruiting him, he is reportedly very close with current Notre Dame commit J.R. Konieczny and has a close relationship with the coaches and some of the current players on the team. The four star guard originally had a target commitment date of sometime in September or October, but is taking his recruitment slow and probably won't commit until November or December.

Notre Dame is definitely one of the top contenders for Wesley and he should be committing soon so follow us on twitter @NDbballanalysis for the latest on the South Bend guard and Notre Dame basketball in general.
